Metta
Wesser began talking lessons from me at Hob Nob Hill in 1976. Over the
years I taught her daughter Pam and her husband Larry. They followed me
to South Forty Acres and later to Bit by Bit Farm. They eventually
became like second parents to me.In 1984 they purchased a talented Dutch mare named Hannah.
The Wessers wanted me to school her as a dressage horse but Hannah was born to
jump. I showed Hannah in a few lower level dressage tests and a jumper class or two. She eventually
had soundness problems and was bred. The reason her breeding sticks inn my mind
is Larry’s celebration at the birth. After the foal stood he cracked open
a bottle of Dom Perignon! The pictures were taken during a clinic with Bernie
Traurig.
